Sustainable Power Systems Engineer – Brno

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to join our cross-functional team to work on technology development, from initial concepts up to prototypes demonstrated in flight.

You will take responsibility for the major R&D projects working on air sub-systems of sustainable aircrafts powered by Hydrogen Fuel Cell, Hydrogen Gas Turbines or Hybrid Systems. You are expected to design mechanical systems and components for hydrogen powered sub-systems define trade-off analyses, system modelling and simulations, and performance assessment for integrated gas/air circuits, intercooler integration, backpressure control, compressor integration and bypass, flow distribution, etc.

Position responsibilities:

Using expertise in an area of mechanical design of housing /mounting, hydrogen interfacing (blow-off, recirculation loop integration, etc.), fuel cell stack integration
Using simulation, modelling, and engineering calculations for supporting the R&D activities
Create technical documentation for concepts and prototypes manufacturing and assembly
Participate on definition and performance of the verifications and tests
Interpret and present results of achievements
Participate on technical supervision, project team leading and project management support
Support the electro-mechanical systems safety & reliability evaluations


M.Sc. or Ph.D. in relevant engineering domain
6+ years of mechanical design or multidisciplinary engineering experience.
Experience with system integration into the higher-level assemblies.
Good English & communication skills.
Due to Export Controls restrictions EU nationality required

Advantageous Experience:

Experience with H2 sub-systems integration / Fuel cells.
Knowledge of modelling, simulation, and design tools (MATLAB Simulink, flow simulations, ANSYS)
