The Prototype & Test Technician is an independent person responsible to build prototypes & tests support for development stage for fall protection products.
Honeywell Industrial Safety (HIS) design and manufacture Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This industry is highly regulated and has inherent Safety requirements. Our customers demand the highest level of quality and reliability. HIS is part of a wider Safety & Productivity Solutions Quality team so offers the successful candidate potential future opportunities in a wide range of opportunities in many areas of quality.
Independent to build development prototypes by using metal work machines – laser cut machine, welding, milling, turning, CNC, etc.
Supporting testing of products according to the testing plans or standards
Key player to identify equipment needs and deal with suppliers for purchase
Applying international standards and Honeywell internal processes
Work with the cross functional team to ensure the proper validation of the product
Partial Support on creating of technical reports (records, results and summaries, certification documents)
Creating and updating of working instructions
Collaboration with other 2 test engineers and mechanical developers’ engineers
Occasional travel, mostly in Europe
Your qualification & experiences
High school, Technology high school preferred. University is an advantage. Suitable for University of Technology absolvents too.
Work experience with metal work machines. Experience with 3D printing machines is an advantage
Any certificate for operation with machines for metal work (lathe, milling, turning, etc.) is an advantage.
Able to establish an English conversation for cooperation with international team members!
Microsoft Office operation – especially common user knowledge of Excel and Word
Experience with operation with analytical and testing machines like tensile machine, CMM is an advantage
Knowledge of statistics and data analysis is an advantage
Knowledge for test reports creation is an advantage
Ability for learning of new thinks like new test methods, operation of new machines etc.
Ability to deal with suppliers and identify the best option for equipment purchase
Skillful and creative to be able to work manually in the lab
Goal oriented, precise, responsible, integrative thinker, analytical skills
Ability for safe daily work in the lab and for following safety rules and standards
