You have an opportunity to join our Honeywell Technology Solutions, Engineering Aerospace team in Brno. The Advanced Technology organization is responsible for the inception, development, and transition of new technologies into existing or future Honeywell Aerospace product lines, and assisting in the development of new markets, products, or services. The Brno Advanced Technology team consists of more than 150 employees, most of which are highly skilled professionals working on exciting novel aeronautical and space technologies.

We are looking for a Mechatronic Engineer with strong design capabilities to work on the development of various space mechanisms. As a member of cross-functional team, you will work on early stage of technology development, from initial concepts up to prototypes demonstrated by analyses as well as testing in the relevant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your role assume execution the engineering tasks of various projects from the field of electro-mechanical actuation for application in space domains. Part of your role will be modelling and designing the system level concepts which will be verified by analyses as interaction process to reach the best results which are per the existing/new requirements. You are expected to contribute to system architecture definitions, trade-off analyses, system modelling and simulations, and performance assessment.

Key requirements

• You are student at University program focused on Engineering field (Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is a plus)
• Fluent command of the Czech/Slovak and English language in both written and spoken form
• Understanding of general mechanical design practices
• Orientation and knowledge of FEA structural analyses
• Understanding/theoretical knowledge of analytical modelling and simulation of mechanical systems for performance assessment
• Understanding of systems with mechanisms and electro-mechanical components, their functionality, and interfaces
• Experience in CAD Modeling
• Keen to learn and grow

Please note that due to export restrictions, we will only be able to take into consideration applicants with an EU or US citizenship

We value

• Knowledge of ECSS/NASA standards and guidelines is highly advantageous
• Experience with mechanisms for space is highly advantage
• Fatigue analysis of solids, bolt joints and rivet joints
• Hands on experience with any of the above in must haves (but we expect rather theoretical knowledge from classes in UNI)
