Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) dynamically expands activities in research and development (R&D) centre in Brno, Czech Republic. Established in 2003, this is the largest R&D centre in Europe for Honeywell. Our engineers and scientists develop products and technologies that are linked to our business groups: Aerospace, Safety and Productivity Solutions, Building Technologies and Enterprise IT.

This position is a part of Enterprise IT entity, providing SAP implementation, software applications development and supporting of global IT services.

The Enterprise Services Compute and Connectivity Platform Organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-art Information Systems Infrastructure serving around 110,000 employees, in over 900 locations across 65 plus countries. We work with the latest and emerging technologies to deliver scalable, high performing, always available infrastructure services around the world. We deliver services that connect, host, virtualize, store, collaborate, integrate, compute and transact business solutions that utilizes cloud first, automation, analytics, “as a Service”, BIG data and software defined.​

The CCP Manage System Administrator will be responsible for building a regional team ​in Brno engaged in operational support of​ Server Infrastructure, hardening and architecture for >15,000 servers at Honeywell. You will manager a team who engages in Windows& LinuxServerArchitecture &Administration (Windows2019/2016/2012Operating Systems&*NIX), storage, virtualization and backup. ​This role includes application rationalization components to best assist business teams on migration, upgrades or decommissioning of legacy Infrastructure. ​

Key Responsibilities:​

​- Building a regional based but global Operational support team​
- People leader of a team of 8-10 individuals responsible for Operational support of Honeywell compute Infrastructure​
- Engagement in an asset rationalization program across Honeywell​
- Maintain team SLA’s on incident response and problem management activities​
- Oversee troubleshooting of performance issues related to virtualized workloads, applications and other compute Infrastructure.​
- Facilitate moving of workloads to/from on-prem cloud to off-prem cloud/ SaaS ​
- Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues​

You Have

- Bachelor’s Degree - preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business-Related Discipline​​
- 5-10 years of ​progressive experience in managing technical teams​
- Strong background in operational support of enterprise server ecosystem​
- Experience in managing Windows & Linux operating systems​
- Experience with ServiceNow or an other similar formal Service Management platform and/or methodology​
- Possess strong knowledge on Windows Server2019/2016/2012OS​
- Strong knowledge of Server automation activities (CHEF,Powershell,orother)​
- DevOps experience is a plus​
- The ability to be a change agent and promote positive change in the organization ​
- Excellent oral, written and collaborative communication skills, including executive level communications​
- The ability to partner effectively across IT teams, suppliers and business customers on cross-functional projects and process improvements​
- Experience with patching tools like Ivanti & WSUS and Windows security standards & OS Hardening concepts ​
- Strong interpersonal skills - effective listening and teaming ​
- Self-motivated, demonstrated bias for action​
- Skilled in partnering with internal customers at all levels to define problems, identify solutions, and facilitate change​
- Willingness to travel approx 15%
