Business Development Manager Europe

An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Sales Development Manager in the Performance Materials and Technologies, Fluorine Products business. Reporting to the Sales Director Europe, the Sales Development Manager will be responsible for developing product awareness, creating market demand, identifying new potential customers, gaining customer trials, influencing final product selection and ultimately converting new sales for our Solstice range of low global warming potential refrigerants. The role will focus on the stationary OEM refrigeration market and specifically on the rapidly developing heating sector using Heat Pump technology

In Europe, these products are sold under the Honeywell Refrigerants and Solstice brand names.

As a part of our Team you will:

· Own and lead the stationary refrigeration segment growth strategy for the territory

· Own the overall customer project pipeline from initiation to closure

· Manage existing customers and identify new sales opportunities within those accounts

· Lead all aspects of new business development for territory as part of a cross functional team including sales, technology, marketing and business management

· Manage key metrics of new project creation, and conversion rate to sales

· Develop commercial and technical relationships at target OEM customers, at country and regional level, with a focus on conversion to new Honeywell refrigerant solutions. (approx. 50% of time spent on travel/direct selling in front of customers

· Participate as an active member of local and regional industry associations, conferences and working groups

Requirements

Experience in stationary refrigeration industry ideally Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)/ Heat Pumps

Experience working in an unstructured environment/ from a home-based office

Previous experience in covering large geographic territories

Hunting Skills: proven capability to pro-actively manage a territory, identify new opportunities and build a sales pipeline; ability to balance time spent between closing existing projects and generating new prospects

Experience in influencing large customers, across multiple levels and functions including technical and commercial

Proven capability to move projects forward to a sales close by acting as a "challenger"

Project management & leadership skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills

WE VALUE

English is a must with German language being a strong plus
