What to Expect
Co-located product design engineer supporting manufacturing/repairing of combustion systems for new and repaired gas turbine engines to improve quality, delivery and reduce manufacturing cost.
Performing engineering activities to qualify manufacturing processes, reduce manufacturing/repair cost, improve quality, delivery and reduce inventory for current production engines.
Conducting engineering review/analysis of MRB and non-conformance disposition where required including root cause evaluation and elimination.
For future products, updating Design For Manufacturing Environment (DFME) to reduce cycle time/cost based on lessons learned including cost models, standard drawings and specifications, CAD standards and parametric design systems.
YOU MUST HAVE
Perform risk assessment, problem solving with root cause analysis, decision making.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to be a part of or lead a team to resolve complex engineering problems.
Effective listening skills and flexibility in approach to resolve complex engineering problems.
Strong planning capability.
Knowledge of Microsoft project desirable.
Manufacturing knowledge desirable.
Bachelor degree in engineering or other related field.
Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
Demonstrated experience with design tools appropriate for the field.
