Software Engineer for UAV

Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) dynamically expands its activities in research and development (R&D) centre in Brno, Czech Republic. Established in 2003, this is the largest R&D centre in Europe for Honeywell.

This position is a part of Aerospace group, the world's leading supplier of avionics systems, products and services for commercial and business aircraft as well as for defense and space applications.

Our UAV team, being integral part of Honeywell UAV Inspection Service development team and specializing on autonomy enablers for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and indoor (no GPS environment) operations, is looking for new colleague!

You can become part of the team which throughout the last year successfully developed small universal navigator (INS + GNSS) outperforming all commercially available competitors. Nowadays, we are adding
new unique aiding modules using latest technology trends (e.g. mmW radar, Lidar, vision aiding, RTLS), preparing upgrade to autopilot and supporting EU business development.


Knowledge and experience in the area of UAV platforms (primarily multicopters)
Experience with C++/C
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Aeronautical Engineering or related fields
Advanced level of English


Experience with Embedded systems (software / hardware) development, integration, and test
Knowledge and experience with sensor data fusion
Knowledge of robotic mapping and navigation (especially SLAM)
Knowledge of simulators (AirSim and Unreal Engine, Gazebo)
Knowledge of computer vision and visual aided navigation / guidance
Practical knowledge of product development in virtual teams
